If you were about to die, what items would your last meal consist of and from where?

Liliha Bakery: Two scoop white rice, two scramble eggs, Portuguese sausage, little smokies, bacon, pork sausage, buttah roll with fluorescent pink jelly, cinnamon toast, side French toast, coffee, and guava juice. And one cocoa puff and ensemada fo dessert.

If there is such a thing as a personal food philosophy, what would yours be?

Grind whatevah you can, whenevah you can, and as much as you can.

Have you ever tasted something so good, ate too much of it, and then vomited or felt like vomiting? What was the food? Did you vomit?

Oh yes… Magoo’s giant combo pizza. Actually, I went eat da left ovas fo lunch one day at work and den wen go ride mountain bike up Bolo Head mountain up Makakilo aftah work. I went pound fo get up da hill and went puke up da Magoo’s when I got to da top. Da buggah still wen taste good.

Have you ever cursed or cried out in joy from eating something incredibly delicious? What was the food? What word did you say or sound did you make?

Many times, but I cannot make doze noises cuz dis is one family event wit da keiki. Wok fried poke wit wasabi mayo sauce at Straub Hospital café exhibition cooking is one I can tink of.

In your own mind, what makes you a good judge for this event?

Cuz I can pound.

What are you looking for in a good hamburger steak?

I like one good hamburgah steak dat stay soft, warm, and juicy, just like me.

What are you looking for in a good shoyu poke?

Good flavor and firm cubes of fish.  Mushy poke is a turn off.
