Where were you born/raised (provide approximate # of years you spent in each location)?

Born and raised on Oahu, Aiea.

How many years have you loved food and what got you started loving food? If you do not love food, explain why?

From day one. I just loved the feeling of weight in my belly. Couldn't get enough.

If you were about to die, what items would your last meal consist of and from where?

In no order. Hot dogs, pizza, fried chicken, beef stew, shoyu chicken, hot dogs and then chili dogs. I would eat it all on the toilet to save energy.

If there is such a thing as a personal food philosophy, what would yours be?

No waste time on green stuff. Other than green jello and mint chocolate chip ice cream.

Have you ever tasted something so good, ate too much of it, and then vomited or felt like vomiting? What was the food? Did you vomit?

This may or may not answer the question, but once I purposely vomited so I could enjoy the food again. And yes, it was beef stew.

Have you ever cursed or cried out in joy from eating something incredibly delicious? What was the food? What word did you say or sound did you make?

Yes, but what was said can not be repeated in public due to shock factor. It was not English, and it was loud.

In your own mind, what makes you a good judge for this event?

A true appreciation of local food and local culture.

What are you looking for in a good beef stew?

The ono factor. Not too chewy beef. Thoroughly soft and mushy vegetables. Perfect broth. The old-school beef stew down home comfort food feeling.
