The taste you know

Aloha and Kikkoman are the most used brands in Hawaii, so they should be the most familiar to the local palate. They are certainly the favorites in our house. I wonder if a Japanese from Japan or a haole from Michigan would score the same.

That's a good question about how a Nihonjin or mainland person would score it. The judges discussed it after and we put it in our Aftertaste section. Maybe we gotta go Waikiki and invite some tourists to do the taste test. That would be a fun way for tourist to experience local life.
